Real World Ready

Real World Ready

The College of Education offers novice teachers a year-long intensive clinical practice experience which supports an authentic co-teaching model with a master teacher. Mentor teachers, teacher candidates, administrators, site coordinators, and faculty members collaborate while preparing for the realities of day-to-day educational expectations. Each teacher candidate gains real-world experience through immersive practice by delivering instruction, managing the classroom and student behavior, and planning lessons with other teachers. Our teacher candidates serve as a classroom teacher while receiving guidance and support from the College and the schools where they are placed.
