A former TLC Tutor/SI Leader now in medical school

The Tinsley Learning Center offers a variety of educational resources to the Southeastern student. Two of these resources are Supplemental Instruction and Tutoring.

Supplemental Instruction (SI) is an academic support program that targets historically difficult courses. SI sessions are regularly scheduled, out-of-class review sessions for all students enrolled in a targeted course. The sessions are informal seminars in which students review the class's content through collaboration strategies.

Our tutors are equally important. The tutors at the TLC assist students in a variety of courses. They provide scheduled and drop-in help sessions to the student body. Our tutors approach tutoring as a process not a product.
