Commonly Written Citations

Backwards in space $25  For safety issues, you cannot back into a space.                

Non registered vehicle/ No hangtag displayed $25  All vehicles on campus must have a current hang tag or permit displayed at all times.  

Improper display of parking hang tag/decal $25 Hang tags must be hung from           

the rear view mirror facing forward at all times.  Decals must be adhered

completely to the passenger side of the windshield- not taped on.

Parked in wrong lot/section $50  Students and employees must park in the                

appropriate lot or section. 

Immobilization $100  Includes receiving multiple citations, defacing or altering             

a hang tag or decal, illegally parking in a designated handicapped space,

blocking another vehicle or access area, vehicles previously barred from          

campus, and the transferring of a parking decal from one vehicle to another.

*All Fines are to be paid at the Controller's Office or online through leonet*

 

Citation Appeals

Any individual desiring to appeal a parking/traffic citation must submit his/her appeal online through leonet within ten (10) calendar days of the date of the citation(s). Online appeals can be submitted 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. The appeal will be reviewed by the Student Government Association Justices.

  • Click SELF SERVICE
  • Click CITATION APPEAL
  • Enter the CITATION NUMBER and LICENSE PLATE NUMBER before clicking SEARCH

 

Special Information 

If you receive a hand written parking citation, you will need to put three zeros in front of the citation number and then license plate number. EX: 000765226. Please do not skip spaces between the letters and numbers of the plate. EX: P20003224, ABC123 Once a citation is issued, you have 10 calendar days to appeal it. It takes 24-hours for the citation to be downloaded and applied to your LEONET account. If you receive the citation on a Monday, you should be able to appeal it on a Tuesday after 10:00 a.m. If the citation is written on a Friday, you should be able to appeal it on the following Monday after 10:00 a.m.
