Typefaces help unify the look of Southeastern’s many different types of materials. Our official fonts give personality to communications pieces while conveying professionalism and expertise.

Knockout

Knockout is used for larger type, such as heads, subheads and decks.

The official fonts of Southeastern Louisiana University are Knockout, Melanzane Bold, Royal Theatre Serif and Royal Theatre Sans. Official fonts are primarily used by professional graphic designers for advertising and University publications. All fonts must be purchased.

 

Default Fonts

Times New Roman, Garamond, Verdana, Open Sans and Arial

For normal office usage, or when limited to system fonts, the preferred typefaces are Times New Roman (serif), Google Font - Garamond (serif), Verdana (sans serif), Google Font - Open Sans (sans serif) or Arial (sans serif). These are the official default fonts of Southeastern and are preferred for daily use in printed communications, powerpoint and common electronic media.

Google Fonts including Garamond and Open Sans can be access through Google's productivity suite including Google Docs.

 

Web Fonts

The current official web font on Southeastern's website is Roboto Condensed for headings and Roboto for body copy.  Additional fonts may be used for design purposes in very limited capacities.

Exceptions

Exceptions to official fonts may be made for invitations, posters, banners or special events.
