The Southeastern Military & Veteran Mentorship Program
Pairs staff, faculty, and second-year student veterans with other student veterans,
dependents and military members. The mentors offer support, study strategies and guidance
on taking advantage of Southeastern resources, services and enrichment opportunities.

Academic Advising
Academic advisors assist students in designing an educational plan that meets their academic and personal goals.

Resource Center
New Office of Military & Veteran Success located in the student union 2304.

Events
SLU hosts many events throughout the year. These include sporting events, recreational events and network events.

VA Work-Study
The VA Work-Study program is an opportunity for student veterans to maintain part-time employment while pursuing their college education. Students act as liaisons between the VA, Southeastern Louisiana University and veterans in pursuit of their education.

Benefits, you can apply for scholarships and financial aid.

Student Veterans Association
The veterans association is open to all students and is associated with the Student Veterans of America.

Veterans Orientation
SLU holds veteran orientation to help veteran, spouse and dependent population transition into the college life.

Operations Discovery
This program is design to help Faculty, Staff, Advisors become more familiar with veterans and how their VA Education benefits work and affect hem.

Football Tailgate Events
SLU partners with ROTC to host tailgate activities at every SLU home football game.

Priority Registration
Student Veterans and Military Service Members are given priority registration at Southeastern Louisiana University.

Waived Application Fee
Student Veterans and Military Service Members will have their application fee waived.
