Admitted International Students

Welcome to the Southeastern Family!

Your next steps now that you are admitted:

STEP 1: Apply for Housing

Did you know that students that live on campus have higher overall GPAs and graduate at a higher rate?  For more information, please visit the site specific to international student housing here. Our residence halls fill up fast so please apply now!

STEP 2: Register for Orientation

Orientation is fun, informative and necessary! Now that you are admitted, your next step is to register for orientation. You will prepare for you your upcoming year, meet new classmates and learn about services and programs available to students.  Orientation information and invitations will be sent out late in the fall for students starting in the spring and during the spring for students starting fall 2019.  Be on the lookout for your invitation!  More Information.

STEP 3: Apply for your Student Visa

To enter the United States as a student, you must have a student visa issued by a U.S. Consulate or Embassy outside of the U.S., unless you are a Canadian citizen. Depending on where you plan to apply for the student visa, the visa application process can take a long time, so you should start your visa application as soon as you receive your I-20 Certificate of Eligibility (for F-1 visa) or DS-2019 Certificate of Eligibility (for J-1 visa). Visit here for more details.

STEP 4: Complete Registration

Once you have attended orientation and registered, your next step will be to complete your registration process.  Fee bills will be issued close to the beginning of the semester. Please check your Leonet account to ensure your fee bill is paid on time.
