Minors
The Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice offers minors in five disciplines:
- Anthropology
- Criminal Justice
- Geography
- GIS/ Remote Sensing
- Sociology
A minor will be awarded in Anthropology upon the completion of eighteen semester hours in Anthropology.
A minor in Criminal Justice will be awarded upon the completion of eighteen semester hours, which must include the following:
- Criminal Justice 101 (3 hours)
- Criminal Justice 201, 202, 204, or 205 (6 hours)
- Criminal Justice Electives from 300 or 400-level courses (6 hours)
- Criminal Justice Elective (3 hours)
A minor will be awarded in Geography upon the completion of eighteen semester hours in Geography.
A minor in Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing will be awarded upon the completion of eighteen hours, which must include the following:
- Geography 103 (3 hours)
- Geography 305, 335, or 473 (3 hours)
- Geography 343 (3 hours)
- Geography 370 (3 hours)
- Geography 443 (3 hours)
- Geography 470 (3 hours)
A minor in Sociology will be awarded upon completion of eighteen hours, which must include the following:
- Sociology 101 (3 hours)
- Sociology 310 (3 hours)
- Sociology 430 (3 hours)
- Sociology Electives from 300 or 400-level courses
