Marie Bernard coordinates the Center for Student Excellence Tinsley Learning Center. She received her B.A. in Education and her Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, both from Southeastern Louisiana University. She has spent over twenty years inside the classroom and as a school administrator. During her employment at Southeastern, she has worked in the Athletics Department as a Learning Specialist for the student athletes and recently worked in the Center for Student Excellence as an SE 101 Instructor and Academic Advisor. Marie now brings her love and passion for education to the Tinsley Learning Center.

Hi! My name is Savannah. I am pursuing my graduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders here at Southeastern. When I am not doing schoolwork, I spend most of my time reading and catching up with friends. I am also an active member of my church here in Hammond. One day, I hope to practice speech language pathology with culturally and linguistically diverse populations. I am so thankful to have to be a part of the team here at Tinsley Learning Center and look forward to meeting you!

Hi! My name is Kayleigh, and a lot of people know me as a crazy cat lady! I am so excited to be a part of the Tinsley Team! I recently graduated with my Bachelors in Business Management and am now working towards a Master’s in Business Administration. You can always find me in Garret Hall, it has been my home away from home over the years. I love studying anything business related to become a successful entrepreneur and to one day own my own business in retail. I hope to see you soon at the Tinsley Learning Center, so we can talk business!

Master of Science in Child Life

Hey y'all! My name is Demi. I just graduated this December with my Bachelors in Science and a concentration in Child Life. I am currently working towards my Masters in Child Life with the hopes of becoming a Certified Child Life Specialist. I am a previous Math 241 tutor for the Tinsley Learning Center and am so excited to be working here as a GA. You can usually find me with a coffee in hand chatting about my kitten or my friends. Can't wait to see you at the Tins!
